Scorpion, silkworm, superworm and cricket kebabs with a honey-BBQ glaze… deelish!

Shish-Ke-Bugs!

After freezing the critters overnight, we marinated them in a concoction of lime juice, honey, BBQ sauce, crushed garlic and ginger, and salt and pepper (no specific recipe — just ‘to taste’). Then, we skewered them with veggies and pineapple, basted everything with a honey-BBQ glaze (just honey and BBQ sauce mixed together), and popped them on the grill till they looked toasty. Crunchy-bug-goodness!

  1. Which scorpions are edible and which are not ?
I live in AZ and there are about 40 or so different scorps out here. Some of those must be edible. Looking for more info on entomophagy in general, not finding a whole lot on the subject. Here in the USA most info is about how to get rid of insects, scorpions.

    Love your website

  2. my daughter says “that looks delicious!!” lol
